Extra, Extra!

For those of you who have scoured the halls of Ossining High School in search of The Current’s usual dispatch of hard copies, have no fear. We’re back: and our lean, mean online edition has made us better than ever!

In a world where high schoolers receive a constant stream of information to their computers or mobile devices, the staff of The Current has decided to step it up for the 2013-2014 school year. The new website will feature all the latest sports, news, and OHS updates from its usual student perspective, only now at the push of a button. However, there is nothing “usual” about the 2013-2014 Current staff at all! A new web format offers opportunities for creativity with web design and graphics, and has attracted a brand-new, extremely talented editorial staff.

OHS’s newest editors are listed below:

Paul Kleiman- News

Aaron Spring- Sports

David Leibert- Opinion

Julia Solari- Entertainment

Robert Cafarelli- Student Life

Adriel Williams- Managing Editor

Ben Feinstein- Features

About the Contributors
Abigail Kamen
Abigail Kamen, Editor-in-Chief
Abigail, or Abby, has been Editor-in-Chief of The Current for three months, and is approaching her third year working for the publication. As a seasoned editor, Abby has many exciting stories under her byline, which include the infamous “My Costa Rican Trip”, a detailed review of her trip to Costa Rica during the summer of 2012. A graduate of the AMD class of 2010, Abby has brought a unique personality to the staff of The Current staff. Her hobbies include snowboarding and hiking. “Like our school, the newspaper changes with incoming and outgoing students every year. The 2013 staff is strong and creative,” says Abby of her re-vamped 2013 newspaper crew, “it’s going to be a fun one.”
Benjamin Feinstein
Benjamin Feinstein, Editor-in-Chief
Benjamin Feinstein is proud to take up the position of Editor-In-Chief, and plans on ruling over the press with a just and guiding hand. Having been both a member of the Current and a member of OHS for a spectacular sum of four years, he looks forward to carrying on and improving upon the legacies of the previous editors. When not shepherding the staff of the Current toward victory, Benjamin enjoys reading, doodling, and being an upstanding citizen.
