TC: First and foremost, congratulations for being named Athlete of the Month for your accomplishments in Football and Basketball.

II: Thank you for making me the athlete of the month.

TC: What do you like to play more, football or basketball? Which was harder for you to play?

II: I love both sports. However, I love basketball a little more than football. I would have to say it’s harder to play football, because you need everyone to work as one unit in football, in order to succeed. If one person messes up, the entire game can be lost as a result of one play. In basketball, one person can mess up and the team can easily adapt and comeback from that mistake.

TC: Who influences you the most to do well and succeed in sports?

II: My older brother, Rex. He came through Ossining and was one of the best wrestlers here.  He has always been my role model in life and I just want to be better than my older brother.

TC: What is your best memory in OHS sports and why?

II: My best memory in OHS Sports was when we beat John Jay in Football in our first Sectional Playoff Game against their school. It was a back and forth game, and our defense really stepped up. The end of the game was special, when Shea caught the game-winning pass with seconds to play.

TC: What are your plans for college and sports in college?

II: In college I want to play basketball, I want to play Division 3 basketball somewhere close to here, such as the University of Scranton.

TC: You recently received the superlative for most changed, does this apply to sports and how has it affected your performance?

II: My physical appearance and attitude has completely changed, allowing me to become a better player. I was able to become better through focusing, hard work, dedication, motivation, and determination. It got me to where I am today. People think highly of me because of how I’ve changed.
