On October 30th the well-known Disney boy band, the Jonas Brothers, announced one of their biggest moves yet: breaking up. So what does this mean for the one of the most highly regarded teen boy-bands across the nation? It took a long time for the boys to clear up the ambiguity behind their breakup, but E! Online seems to have captured the most of it.
Simply put, the boys will not be producing any more music together. However, they have made it explicitly clear that band or no band, the Jonases are still family. “They just all wanted different things. They love each other. They always will,” a source told E! News.
Additionally, band member Nick Jonas mentioned repeatedly to People Magazine that “It’s really hard to say forever…We’re closing a chapter, for sure.” Joe Jonas, on the other hand, told an anonymous source that “[he] wants to do acting and art and his own music.” The source also mentioned, “He’s passionate and has his own set of goals.” Lastly, Kevin, the oldest of the brothers, reportedly told the insider that he would like to focus on his wife, Danielle, as she gears up to have her first child.
Its true, the JoBros will certainly be missed. After all, who can help dancing along to some of their poppy chart-toppers, which include: “When You Look Me In The Eyes,” “Burnin’ Up,” “Sorry,” “S.O.S.,” “Play My Music,” and ironically “Inseparable.” Thus, while we will miss the three youthful boys being on stage with each other, we hope that the love conveyed by their mellifluous songs will be enough to keep them grounded as they go their separate ways.
