When Things Get Fixed: A Day in the Life of Will “The Tech Guy” Pritz

Paul Kleiman, News Editor

Every once in a while, The Current goes out of its way to pay homage to the faculty in Ossining High School, some of which are seldom recognized. Will, whom you may know better as “Will the Tech Guy,” is broadly responsible for all of the technology at OHS. He has a close handle on the nitty-gritty stuff as well as the experience of living and managing an entire building (what the Brits call “ruddy” work). He is a resolute and studious worker, who resides in the office adjacent to the science office, and The Current had the opportunity to sit down with him to talk about what he does in his day.

Every day Will arrives to school before the rest of us do, ready for even the worst of technology failures, fixing them all with a smile.

“My favorite activities include keeping up to date with the new technology releases,” Will noted after letting the question sink-in for a moment. Then, adding to his mot juste, he concluded “…and providing the day-to-day support that keeps us going.”
