Endless Love Review
February 26, 2014
Endless Love just came to theaters on February 14th, 2014, Valentine’s Day! This movie is the story of two people from very different worlds that somehow cross paths and fall in love with each other. This story line sounds familiar right? Besides being the storyline of many romance movies, this may sound familiar because it is a remake of the 1981 movie, also entitled Endless Love, starring Brooke Shields. Even though the 2014 remake can’t be categorized as “original”, it is still beautiful, and very enjoyable. Gabriella Wilde, and Alex Pettyfer, play the two main characters, and they do a wonderful job of depicting a very deep, whirlwind love for one another. It has to be said that the love they have in the movie is so passionate that viewers might find it to be unrealistic. However, their acting job makes it seem so realistic that viewers believe it’s possible to find such love.
Besides the wonderful acting, and passionate storyline, the cinematography of the film made everything in it more enjoyable. There are multiple scenes in which the lighting alone makes the characters seem more beautiful and enchanting. There were also scenes that took place on a beautiful lake, and in fields that made the characters whereabouts seem more majestic.
Leaving the theater the movie can easily be characterized as “beautiful”. Even if the viewer didn’t enjoy the outcome of the film, or even the storyline, there is no denying that the love that the characters have, and even just the scenery, is beautiful. If you haven’t seen this film, I recommend that you do, and if you have and can’t get enough of it, I recommend you go home and rent the 1981 version as a quick fix.
