TC: What do you consider to be your greatest accomplishment as an athlete?
HS: To me personally, receiving accolade is great, it makes you feel amazing at that moment, but what really is my greatest accomplishment is the friends I’ve made through sports. The fact that I’ve made friends that I consider to be family is just amazing, and is my greatest accomplishment.
TC: From where do you draw inspiration as an athlete?
HS: I draw inspiration from the fact that when I was a kid, I was pretty much isolated inside my house, and as such I started sports a lot later than most. But because of that, I work twice as hard to be better than those who have started earlier.
TC: What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced during your athletic career?
HS: This summer during football I received a concussion during the second week and had to miss the first game, after which I sprained my MCL during the second game, and had to miss another two weeks. My biggest challenge was trying to come back and remain healthy despite being sidelined for a total of 4 weeks.
TC: How has this season gone thus far?
HS: I’ve had a lot of ups and downs this seasons, but with a 23-6 record and a lot of the season left to play, I feel relatively content with the results so far.
TC: Of the sports you participate in, which is your favorite?
HS: I love all the sports I’ve played at OHS, but I plan on continuing my career in football over my other sports, wrestling and track. I am still very open to playing any of the three at the next level.
TC: What are some of your other interests?
HS: I love animals and other than being a major in computer engineering, I do wish to look at a major in veterinary studies or a zoological studies major
TC: What will you be doing with your athletic career in the foreseeable future?
HS: I plan on using football to try and earn some money for college, and anything after that is in God’s hands and in my work ethic of course.
