The billion dollar company, Nintendo,  has been around for more than 30 years making a plethora of both handheld and home gaming systems. Between the GameCube, Wii, and Nintendo DSi, this company has made major success internationally and is ready to bring even more fun to the public. In March 2016 Nintendo plans on releasing one of several mobile games that can be played on Android and iOS devices.

The new game will be named Miitomo and will allow users to create a “Mii” avatar,  very similar to the characters made on Nintendo’s Wii system. In the Miitomo game, customers will have the opportunity to automatically connect with their friends and play a variety of mini-games for points that can be redeemed for in-game items, game figurines, and wallpapers. Avatar characters in this game will collect personal information from each user so their friends can learn things about them that they may have never known. Miitomo will be Nintendo’s first system to rely entirely on a cloud service, allowing people to connect their mobile devices to their Nintendo gaming systems at home.

In addition to Miitomo, Nintendo will release four smartphone compatible games, which should all be available to the public by March of 2017. One of the major questions on almost every Nintendo game lover’s mind is if a Pokemon related game will be included in the collection of new games. Unfortunately, very few Android and iOS Pokemon game have been confirmed by Nintendo, though though virtual reality game Pokemon Go has been promised by Google game company Niantic, with an expected release date of February 2016.
