We all know Liam Neeson for his heart stopping action movies and Non Stop is no exception! The movie just came into theaters this month, and it has been a box office hit. The movie is about an air marshal that gets on a plane, not realizing he may never get off. While on the plane he gets text messages threatening the safety of passengers aboard the plane. As he is trying to stop this anonymous killer, he instead gets framed, and passengers, along with air safety control think that he is the killer. The role of this air marshal is played by Liam Neeson. Julianne Moore also plays a large role in the film, as a normal passenger that helps Neeson’s character to save the plane. There may be a brewing love interest there (but let’s not give too much away).
Well yes, the film is full of action, and suspense, there are also comedic and romantic elements in the film, which is what makes it so enjoyable. There were multiple occasions when the audience in the theater let out some giggles. Another element that is great about Non Stop is that unlike many action movies, a lot of the events seemed realistic. For example (spoiler alert), no one on the plane knew how to diffuse a bomb, which would mostly likely be the case in real life. However, it’s common that most action films would have some genius diffusing the bomb in only a matter of seconds.
If you are a fan of action, suspense, laughter, or even love, this movie is definitely a must-see. It will keep you on the edge of your seat, but the moments of comic relief make it enjoyable, not stressful. Without giving away the ending, it’s safe to say that you will leave the theater satisfied.
